Traveling from Kolkata in the West Bengal to this northern state in India was like going to a different country. This state is partially in the Himalayas and very close to the Chinese and Tibetan boarder. It was a weird mix of Tibetan refugees, indian military watching the Chinese boarder, and people from other states like Kashmir and Rajasthan that came to work and earn money on the tourists who come to experience the amazing nature of Ladakh.
